The selected candidate will perform full-range information assurance support to assigned tasks. Researches system requirements, architectures, and design plans for IA relevance and provides guidance to system developers and managers on security risks and potential countermeasures. Configures operating systems, database management systems, and applications to comply with published security requirements. Develops and executes system security test plans, and documents results in approved formats. Interprets test results in a form suitable for system owner corrective action. Assesses the level of compliance with established security requirements through the use of automated assessment tools like the DISA Gold Disk and EEye Retina, as well as semi-automated tools like the DISA Security Readiness Review (SRR) scripts and manual test cases. Prepares security certification and accreditation documentation in accordance with the Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP). Supports assigned systems as go through the Navy and Marine Corps certification and accreditation processes.
Position requires travel to customer sites.
This position is located in Charleston, SC. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Charleston, SC or surrounding areas.

Requirements:
- high school diploma
- eight years experience in information technology and three years experience in information assurance
- familiarity with security features found in operating systems, database management systems, and networking devices
- working knowledge of the Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP)
- demonstrated knowledge and experience of security testing and risk analysis using the DISA Gold Disk, Retina, SRR scripts, and manual test cases
- compliance with DoDM 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II) certification requirements (e.g., GSEC, SCMP, SSCP, or Security+)
- active security clearance of at least secret
Preferences:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a technical discipline
DoDM 8570.01-M at CISA, GSE, SCNA, CISSP (or associate) certification
