Programmer/Analyst developing software in support of IT Supply Operations at Trident Refit Facility Kings Bay, Ga. Experienced software engineer with 6+ years in the field of real-time, embedded software systems development, architecture, implementation, release, and maintenance. Full software development life-cycle (SDLC) experience required. Responsible for analysis of processes and development of programmatic code to automate those processes on IBM, Tandem, HP and web-based server platforms. Migrate existing COBOL programs on UNIX based HP system to PL/SQL on Linux based systems. Develop test procedures, conduct software testing and produce test reports. Interpret customer requirements and produce software solutions with those specifications. Develop and maintain application documentation. Candidate will support the development and maintenance of real-time embedded software. Experienced in Object Oriented design and implementation and multi-threaded programming. Must have strong proven experience in design, development and debugging of object-oriented software written in C++, COBOL, and C on Windows, Linux and/or Unix OS platforms. Strong programming skills with proper understanding of project life cycle, software development environments and source control techniques. Must be a self-starter with strong problem solving and debugging skills and should be able to work efficiently both as an independent contributor as well as in a team environment.
