SUMMARY OF THE JOB: Responsible to our customer's product sustainment requirements while meeting cost, schedule, and performance parameters with exceptional customer relations. Assist the PM in establishing a solid reputation for product sustainment excellence.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist the Program Manager with spares product teams through the life cycle process from system delivery into product sustainment 2. Lead various projects to capture and manage customer sustainment contracts 3. Manage spares and service projects involving cross-functional disciplines of Operations, Technical Publications, Service, and Finance 4. Management of remote teams at Commercial repair facilities in Wash DC area may be involved 5. Create, develop and manage program budget and product cost targets 6. Create, develop and manage staffing requirements and resource plan 7. Create, develop, integrate and manage schedule for program and product delivery 8. Deliver programs under budget, resource and time constraints established in program plan 9. Create risk management list and contingency plans. Decide upon and execute contingency plans, when required 10. Report program status to multi-tiered audiences composed of team, peers, directors and executive staff audiences 11. Participate in process and business workflow improvements in product life cycle, cost-downs and internal division processes 12. Understand and follow company rules and regulations 13. Maintain all housekeeping and safety standards 14. Ensure compliance with federal and state laws 15. Perform all duties in a safe manner 16. Perform other duties as assigned.
BASIC SKILL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Solid interpersonal skills with experience in customer/supplier relations 2. Domestic and occasional international travel is required 3. Government Security Clearance (or ability to obtain) required 4. Knowledge of the Department of Defense acquisitions process, government agencies and military organizations desired 5. Demonstrated success in a project leadership role with the ability to influence others in a matrix organization 6. Demonstrated ability to lead and work well with others 7. Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), decision making and employee relation skills 8. Proven record in developing strong customer relations 9. Experience with ISO 9001 or QS 9100 Quality Operating Systems 10. Able to handle multiple assignments under extreme time constraints and high stress conditions 11. Must have strong work ethic, sense of urgency and a high energy level 12. Self-starter: bias for action, results-oriented 13. Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications and One World required 14. Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends to meet business needs 15. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: BS or BA Degree and/or the equivalent in Business or Engineering. Prior military/government service desired, U.S. Army or security agency preferred.
