Ensure compliance with U.S. Government directives, regulations and requirements as well as corporate/business unit directives and customer directed requirements. Preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and contractually obligated requirements to ensure the protection of classified and Company Protected Information. Maintain liaison with all levels of government and corporate entities, domestic and international, in the pursuit of security objectives. Is an advisor for assigned government and commercial programs regarding security issues. Assignments include program security: security education and awareness; and/or supervision of security support activities such as document control, personnel security or campus security officers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Exercises discretion and independent judgment in performing the following tasks:

1. Interprets and applies National Industrial Security Program Operations Manual (NISPOM) to comply with government requirements and regulations.

2. Oversees compliance with the Special Security Agreement between the US government and foreign owners as well as compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

3. Ensures all documents for public release are compliant with stated government guidelines and contractual obligations prior to public release.

4. Prepares and conducts Program Security Awareness Briefings. Maintains liaison with Legal, Contracts and Facility Departments in the pursuit of Company and Corporate security compliance. Develops security plans, goals and objectives to comply with existing directives and future requirements.

5. Maintains liaison with Legal, Contracts and Facility Departments in the pursuit of Company and Corporate security compliance.

7. Prepares contingency plans relative to program and site security.

8. Conducts investigations\interviews of non-compliance matters and issues Security violations to employees. Completes appropriate documentation according to company and government directives.

OTHER JOB RELATED INFORMATION:

Typical Related Experience: Four or more years of related security experience and demonstrated leadership ability. Should be conversant and have had experience in one or more of the following areas: Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) or Department of Defense (DoD) security communities, Special Access Programs (SAP) security, communications security (COMSEC), and export security issues.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 4 years of security related experience.


Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties set forth in the primary duties and responsibilities section above.


Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.


Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers.


Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents utilize various office tools (i.e. MS Office, JPAS, SIMS and ISFD).


Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.


Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements.
