This position reports directly to the Supply Chain Integration Manager. The role will support two major programs spanning three BAE Systems sites.
The primary responsibility would be to serve as the key conduit between the program, supplier base, and supply chain functional organizations to ensure that business objectives are met. Develops and implements a supply chain strategy that ensures supplier agreements are utilized and cost take out opportunities are realized to the maximum extent practicable to support business area objectives.
Manage business area supply chain cost, schedule, quality and performance to support business and customer objectives. Provide overall management and direction of Supply Chain performance to achieve or exceed stated goals. Ensure that supply chain initiative and recommendations are implemented across the programs within the business area. Attend business area staff meetings as necessary and communicate supply chain. Ensure that supply chain risks are identified and documented in the risk register, and proactively ensure that risks are mitigated. Lead the supply chain transition from design and development into production. Lead cross functional teams or suppliers in leaning out company and supplier processes, procedures, and/or manufacturing flow.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience with at least twelve (12) years of procurement, planning, material management, subcontract, or related experience with managing suppliers, costs, and schedules.
- Ability to evaluate program needs, identify and develop integrated and detailed supply chain strategies and return to green plans.
- Ability to effectively direct personnel from various functional departments.
- Experience required in competitive source selections, supplier proposal evaluations, supplier negotiations
- Experience managing supplier, cost, schedule, and quality attributes
- Experience managing challenging suppliers on Department of Defense Programs preferred
- Data warehousing or minor programming experience with C++ or Pearl is a plus.
