Ordnance Systems Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of BAE SYSTEMS INC, invites the following professional to join our team at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant (HSAAP) in Kingsport, TN.
Job Summary
Fabricate, maintain, modify, and design all metal type work related to this facility
Job Responsibilities
? Design, measure, fabricate, prep for welding, and stall welded type service and production areas ? including tanks or pressure vessels, ironwork and structural steel (handrails, grated stairs, catwalks, etc.), and sheet metal (ducts, signs, drip pans).
? Layout templates and patterns for other shops for duct, pipe saddles, transitions pieces
? Assist machinist and other crafts with odd or unusual work containing angles, compound angles, geometric or trig work
? Assist welder with set-up
? Coordinate with mechanical engineers, advising managers and warehouse of materials needed
Job Requirements
Required is a High School Diploma or equivalent with a strong math skills and 4 years of related fabrication experience. Additional requirements include the ability to read complicated drawings, shop mathematics, handbook formulas, some precision measuring instruments, and experience with TIG welding and pipe fitting.
