The selected candidate will work under the general guidance and supervision of the Travel Clerk Lead to provide Personal Property Pre-Counseling Worksheet service to government service members.
Essential duties include, but are not limited to: providing required documentation and scheduling future appointment(s) for personal property counseling; logging appointments in office tracker system and providing appointment slip to customer; accepting, reviewing, and filing appropriate appointment packet in appointment file cabinet for assigned counselors; greeting walk-in customers and providing pre-counseling service; mailing, faxing or scanning, and emailing forms to customers on the same day requested by either fax or phone; answering questions, in person or by phone, on entitlements and services, providing information about services directly related to the Personal Property and Travel, and assisting with the preparation of shipment worksheets or storage worksheets; preparing government travel slips or packets for Lead, Supervisor, or Manager signature/initial approval; preparing Shipment Change Slips for submission to JPPSO-HI for all corrections, additions, deletions, and cancellations to original shipment(s).
Duties are typically performed in an office environment. Will be required to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, lift, carry, and walk periodically throughout the workday. Will also be required to perform housekeeping of work areas. May be expected to work overtime periodically when required. Work hours and work location may, with proper notification, be adjusted to include shift work to meet contract requirements. May be assigned to support contract requirements in a job-related area such as environmental, safety, cross training, or security.
This position is located in Hawaii. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Local applicants only.
