BAE Systems is looking for a Director - Finance Accounting, Policy, Governance to provide leadership for the Operating Group with regard to accouning, policy and governance operations. The Director Finance reports to the OG Vice President - Finance.
As the Director - Finance Accounting, Policy, and Governance, you will:
1. Advise the OG Vice President - Finance and other Company OG and LOB management on matters of Accounting policy and interpretations. Will liase with internal management, internal audit and external audit proffessionals
2. Advise the OG Vice President - Finance and other Company OG and LOB management on matters of regulatory compliance and FAR/CAS interpretation. Will liase with internal management, internal audit and external governmenet audit proffesionals
3. Establish, maintain and interpret policy in assigned financial area(s). Implement and operate in accordance with all legal, ethical, and Company requirements
4. Perform a wide variety of high level complex financial/business analyses, such as evaluation of accounting practice, government compliance and impact of changes
.
5. Coordinate with other finance, Company, OG and BAE Systems, Inc. areas and activities to assure consistency and integrity of data.
6. May represent the OG Vice President - Finance or performs other duties as assigned by the OG Vice President - Finance
1. Requires use of conceptual and innovative thinking (i.e., problem solving).
2. Skilled communicator who influences and shapes the image of a complex business or Operating Group.
3. Negotiates mainly internally, at higher levels, and occasionally with external relationships.
4. Min. Education: Bachelor's Degree
5. Pref. Experience: More than 10+ years experience preferred
